Visit Toyota for more information on the Toyota Corolla.

Another year, but the story remains the same. 2004 will surely see the Toyota Corolla grab a huge market share in the subcompact car class. It will continue to thrive as a dependable vehicle that doesn't fuss about with frivolities, offering good gas mileage, nice handling, interior comfort and solid safety features.

And all of this comes at a reasonable price. The Corolla's popularity certainly is no fluke when one considers everything that comes wrapped up in the bundle. With model diversity to satisfy the different tastes of potential customers, Toyota shows that it knows how to market its vehicles. Of course, it always helps when you have a product like the 2004 Toyota Corolla to start with.

Available Models
The 2004 Toyota Corolla is available in three model trims: CE, S and LE.

Interior Features
The three different trims of the 2004 Toyota Corolla are intended to satisfy three different types of people. For those who just want the essentials, the base CE handles just that. It has standard air conditioning, an AM/FM/CD player, an interior air filter, front bucket seats, a center console and a 60/40 split folding rear seat for extra room.

The S model is for sporty people. With a silhouette sport speedometer, a unique sport interior and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, it is designed to raise the pulse a little.

For those who want added comfort, the LE model has available leather-trimmed seats and a wood-grain-style interior trim for a touch of luxury. To top it off, the options for all three come in doses.

Exterior Features
The 2004 Toyota Corolla looks every bit as its predecessors did. Black protective body side moldings (CE) or color-keyed protective body side moldings (LE and S models) are there to make sure the look is preserved. A color-keyed rear spoiler is optional on S models.

The sole powertrain in the 2004 Toyota Corolla is a 1.8-liter, 4-cylinder engine with 130 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque. 4-speed automatic transmission and 5-speed manual are both offered. With automatics, the fuel rating is an impressive 29/38 mpg (city/highway), while manuals do even better with a rating of 32/40 mpg (city/highway).

Power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering gives Corolla drivers the confident sense of being in-tune with their vehicles. The 2004 Corolla also has independent front suspension and torsion beam rear suspension.

Safety and Security
All Corollas have dual front airbags, daytime running lights, side impact door beams and front energy-absorbing crumple zones. Antilock brakes with Electronic Brake-force Distribution and front side airbags are optional.
