2004 Honda CR-V - Price Quote

Visit Honda for more information on the Honda CR-V.

Honda's compact sport utility vehicle is a popular model that offers a good price for its attributes. What those attributes are can best be described as modest performance, typical Honda efficiency and safety.

In terms of safety, the CR-V was given a five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for front and side crash tests. It has 3-point safety belts in all five seating positions, and provides dual-stage front airbags.

On top of that, the 2004 Honda CR-V is rugged and practical. It is this versatility that has made it such a hit with consumers.

Available Models
The 2004 Honda CR-V is offered in two trim levels: LX and EX.

Interior Features
The 2004 Honda CR-V is a spacious four-door wagon that really can sit five, not just advertise it. It also features a 60/40 split-folding rear seat to accommodate larger items. All totaled, the cargo volume rounds in at 72 cubic feet.

CR-Vs are fitted with all sorts of practical features that help up the comfort level considerably. Though not in the luxury class, that doesn't mean the 2004 Honda CR-V isn't enjoyable to ride in. For instance, power windows, mirrors and door locks are standard. There's also a folding picnic table made available.

At the EX level, the standard items are richer and more decadent. They include such things as a power sunroof, an AM/FM/cassette player with in-dash 6-disc CD changer, remote keyless entry and rear privacy glass.

Exterior Features
EX models are also given a little more in the way of exterior style. They have standard alloy wheels and body-colored power mirrors.

Performance
Efficient, durable power is the source of the Honda CR-V's primary appeal. It has the ability to run and run and run, long after many models have worn themselves out.

The engine responsible for this is a 2.4-liter, dual overhead cam inline 4-cylinder model. It will crank out 160 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 162 lb-ft of torque at 3600 rpm. 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmissions are offered-the 2WD LX only comes with automatic, however.

As hinted, the 2004 Honda CR-V is offered with a two-wheel drive configuration, plus an all-wheel drive setup. The EX is only offered with all-wheel drive, which lacks low-range gearing and should not be thought of as a serious off-road feature. LX models make both systems available.

Safety and Security
Side airbags are available on the 2004 Honda CR-V LX model, standard on top-line EX models-which also come with an antilock braking system.

2004 Honda CR-V models

The 2004 CR-V is offered in well-appointed LX, LX 4WD and EX 4WD trim levels. All models include dual mirrors, intermittent front and rear window wipers and washers, air conditioning with Micron Air-Filtration, power windows with auto down and auto up driver's window, power door locks, floormats, engine immobilizer and anti-theft system, cruise control, two-texture seating surfaces, sunglass holder and rear coat hooks.
The LX trim level incorporates an AM/FM/cassette/CD player with four speakers.
The EX trim includes an AM/FM/cassette/6-CD changer with six speakers, a power moonroof and rear privacy glass
Honda's Real Time' 4WD is standard on the EX trim and available on the LX. Exterior and interior color combinations for the CR-V remain the same from the 2003 model year
