Visit Suzuki for more information on the Suzuki XL-7.

The 2003 Suzuki XL-7 tops off Suzuki's sport-utility line-up with nothing to spare. It has size, power, and versatility. Three rows of seating move up to seven people. The 2003 Suzuki XL-7 has all the trimmings you would expect in a well-appointed luxury SUV plus real hauling power - it can tow up to 3000-pounds, much higher than most other SUVs in its class.

Available Models
Touring and Limited trim levels for the 2003 Suzuki XL-7 are offered. Also choose from two- or four-wheel drive.

Interior Features
Both models of the 2003 Suzuki XL-7 have standard seating for five people, with the option of a 3rd row seat for two additional people. Inside the Touring trim, standard features include front air conditioning, rear air conditioning (with 3rd-row seat option), interior air filter, power steering, tilt steering wheel with radio controls, cruise control, front bucket seats, 2nd-row split folding seat, 3rd-row split folding seat (with 3rd-row seat option), power mirrors, power windows, power door locks, remote keyless entry, and AM/FM/CD player.

Up the line to the Limited trim, additions include leather upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel, power sunroof, and AM/FM radio w/in-dash 6-disc CD changer. The seating/cargo configurations in both trims are almost endless with the addition of the 3rd row seat option. The total interior cargo space is 75.1 cubic-feet. Pack it all in and go.

Exterior Features
The 2003 Suzuki XL-7 is as well appointed on the exterior as it is on the interior. Standard to the Touring trim is rear privacy glass, 16-inch aluminum wheels, heated driver- and passenger-side power mirrors, as well as roof rails in the unlikely event you couldn't fit something inside. On the Limited trim add rear spoiler, running boards (with 3rd-row seat option), fog lights, and heated power mirrors.

Performance
The largest engine Suzuki has to drop in is the 2.7-litre V6, 24-valve, quad-cam engine pumping out 183 horsepower @ 6000 rpm and 180 ft-lb of torque @ 4000 rpm. Estimated fuel consumption is 17/20 (city/hwy) mpg. 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmissions are available.

Safety and Security
Standard safety features include second-generation dual front airbags, daytime running lights, height-adjustable shoulder belts, keyless remote entry, rear-door child safety locks, child seat LATCH system, and an energy-absorbing steering column. ABS brakes are optional to the Touring trim, and standard on the Limited trim. Also standard to both trims: reinforced side-impact beams, a steel-reinforced passenger compartment, and integrated front and rear crumple zones to reinsure impact safety.

2003 Suzuki XL-7 Highlights

The XL-7 builds on the basic virtues of the Suzuki Grand Vitara. With a 12.6-inch longer wheelbase and an overall length that is 19.1-inches longer, the XL-7 offers much more interior space. It has a larger, more powerful V6 engine than its compact-class sibling, and the midsized XL-7 can be equipped with manual or automatic transmission and rear- or four-wheel drive.
With prices ranging from under $20,000 to just over $26,000 depending on trim level and options, the lavishly equipped XL-7 costs a fraction of some prestigious SUVs, yet it matches many of them feature-for-feature. And for 2003, the XL-7 moves further upscale with an all-new dashboard and console design, as well as the addition of new equipment such as: six-disc in-dash CD player with seven speakers including subwoofer and tweeters, automatic climate control and more.
Either trim level can be had with a "third-row option" that adds a split-folding rear seat, upping the total head-count from five to seven passengers. The third-row option also includes rear air conditioning with control switches in both front and back, as well as a below-deck storage bin and a first aid kit. Both the Touring and Limited Edition are available in two- or four-wheel drive.
And like all 2003 Suzuki models, the XL-7 is covered by the best warranty in the business, Suzuki's new 7-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty. Fully transferable to succeeding owners and free of deductibles for covered items, the powertrain limited warranty is designed to boost value of time of resale value or trade-in and underscores the corporation's confidence in its product quality. This powertrain warranty covers the engine, transaxle, transmission, transfer case and front- and rear-wheel-drive systems. Although Kia and Hyundai offer 10-year/100,000-mile warranties, they aren't fully transferable.
