Visit Chevrolet for more information on the Chevy Express.

The 2003 Chevy Express is a large van that provides spaciousness, power, safety and durability to cover heavy-duty transportation needs. This is a no-nonsense vehicle that punches in and does its job day in and day out. For 2003, the Chevy Express features a number of major changes, including a left-side passenger door, the industry's first all-wheel-drive full-size van models, unique access panels, an all-new look and upgraded powertrains. If it's people you need to move, the 2003 Chevy Express is the van to do it.

Available Models
There are plenty of Express vans out there, including a whole set of extended length versions with even more space. Regular lengths are offered in three sizes: G1500, G2500, and G3500. Also available in 2003 are H-model upgrades to the G-series on both the 1500 and 2500.

Interior Features
The G1500 version of the 2003 Chevy Express seats eight passengers, while the G2500 and G3500 seat twelve, with the G3500 providing even more room for passengers and added cargo. A new electrical architecture results in a communication network that transfers data throughout the entire vehicle to a new instrument cluster. The system monitors and reports on up to 20 system functions, even telling drivers when to change the oil.

While the Express line of vans will never be confused with luxury vehicles, this isn't to say that they don't have their share of features. Above all else, the 2003 Chevy Express is designed with practical applications and convenience as its top priority. Some of the standards found across all models include front air conditioning, power steering, digital clock, AM/FM radio and twin trip odometers. In addition, all of this can be upgraded with the healthy number of options that are available.

Exterior Features
New front-end styling gives the 2003 Chevy Express a revised look in its grille, bumper, fascia, fenders and hood. New exterior colors for 2003 are Sandalwood Metallic, Dark Spiral Gray Metallic and Berry Red Metallic.

Performance
The G1500 model has a 4.3-liter V6 engine capable of 200 horsepower. The G2500 comes with a 4.8-liter V8 with 270 horsepower and the G3500 steps up with a 6.0-liter V8 with 300 horsepower. All models have a duly placed 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and torque converter to accommodate the type of work these vans will be called upon to perform.

The H1500 and H2500 have an upgrade to a tough 5.3-liter V8 engine with 285 horsepower strength. Both models also come with an all-wheel drive system that results in maximum traction control.

Safety and Security
For 2003, the Express offers a four-wheel power disc antilock brake system as standard equipment. The system features the responsive HydroBoost hydraulic assist power brake booster. Additional safety features include dual front airbags and the LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) system for child seats.
