America's top selling roadster the Pontiac Solstice returns for 2009 with a sleek, new coupe model to join its popular roadster model.

Available Models
The 2009 Pontiac Solstice Roadster and Coupe are available in two models the base and the GXP.

Several packages are available such as the Convenience Package which includes fog lights, enhanced DIC controls and steering wheel mounted cruise control. The Preferred Package includes features such as remote keyless entry, power windows, mirrors and locks. The Premium Package includes a leather wrapped steering wheel with radio controls and leather seating surfaces.

Interior Features
The interior of the 2009 Pontiac Solstice is as beautiful as its exterior. Standard equipment on all models include two-way power driver seat adjusters, leather wrapped shift knob, six speaker AM/FM/CD audio system with MP3 and iPod jack, XM Satellite Radio and racing inspired sport bucket seats. Also standard is GM's driver information center which shows information such as fuel range, oil life, current fuel economy and warning indicators.

Exterior Features
Visually both the Roadster and Coupe models of the Pontiac Solstice are breathtakingly stunning. The coupe has a classic fastback style with a ducktail-style rear spoiler and features removable roof that allows for open-air driving. The roof has a "carved out" inner contour that allows 37.4 inches of headroom.
A new color has been added for this year - Merlot Jewel.

Performance
Two engines are available to power the rear-wheel drive Solstice - base models come standard with a 2.4L Ecotec I4 173 horsepower motor, while the GXP models are equipped with a 260 horsepower 3.0L Ecotec Turbo I4. Standard on all models is a 5-speed manual transmission with a 5-speed automatic available as an option.

The Solstice GXP equipped with manual transmission has an EPA of 19 mpg for city driving and 28 mpg on the highway. The manual transmission 2.4L I4 has an EPA of 19 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highways.

Safety and Security
Safety features include dual stage driver and passenger air bags, passenger airbag on/off switch, anti-lock brakes, StabiliTrak electronic stability control and traction control. OnStar is standard with integrated Bluetooth capability that allows personal cell phone connectivity to the Pontiac Solstice's audio system
