The sleek and sexy Pontiac G5 returns for 2009 complete with better fuel economy and an increase to horsepower. At 25 mpg for city driving and 27 mpg on the highway - the 2009 Pontiac G5 has the highest fuel economy of the Pontiac line of vehicles.

Available Models
There are two models available - the Pontiac G5 and the Pontiac G5 GT. Standard features on the GT include StabiliTrak electronic stability control system, 17 inch aluminum wheels, fog lamps, heated seats, cruise control, anti-lock brakes, leather-wrapped shift knob and steering wheel with audio controls, anti-lock brakes, sports rocker moldings and cargo net.

Popular packages include: The Sun and Sound Package which features a seven speaker Pioneer premium system, power sunroof and AM/FM/CD radio with MP3. The New MYLink Package which includes four-wheel ABS, chrome exhaust tip, 16" machine-face wheels, cruise control, leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, steering wheel audio controls and Bluetooth capability. And the New Appearance Package which includes chrome exhaust tips, body color side moldings, front fog lamps and trunk cargo net.

Interior Features
The 2009 Pontiac G5 seats 5 and comes with interior features such as - air conditioning, power windows and door locks. Available features include a sunroof, seven-speaker sound system with subwoofer, radio with USB input port, XM Satellite Radio is also standard on the G5. A new interior color combination is also available for the Pontiac G5 GT - Ebony / Red leather-appointed seating.

Exterior Features
Two new colors have been added for the 2009 Pontiac G5 - Quicksilver Metallic and Silver Green Metallic. Standard on both the base and GT models of the Pontiac G5 is a rear spoiler.

Performance
The 2009 Pontiac G5 is powered by an Ecotec 2.2L VVT I4 engine - the engine is more efficient for 2009 and has increased the fuel economy dramatically while also increasing the horsepower of the engine. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard on both models with a 4-speed automatic transmission available as an option.

Safety and Security
The safety features are numerous and include dual-stage frontal and front-and-rear head curtain side impact air bags, OnStar and a tire pressure monitoring system.
