Available Models
In order to suit a variety of driving needs, practical requirements, and price ranges, the 2002 Pontiac Montana is offered in four different models - Special Value Model, Regular Length, Extended Length, and Versatrak AWD.

On top of these choices, Pontiac dishes out a series of packages that range from the Sport Performance and Handling Package to the Thunder package, Convenience Package #1, Convenience Package #2, Safety and Security Package, and Premium Seating Package.

Interior Features
For your comfort and convenience, every 2002 Pontiac Montana Minivan packs air conditioning, power door locks, power windows, four-spoke sport steering wheel, AM/FM stereo with CD player, and cruise control. The seating capacity ranges from six passengers to seven or eight.

Various packages feature anything from leather upholstery to six-way power driver's seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, rear air conditioning, universal garage door opener, OnStar service, power front passenger seat, and increased seating capacities on the extended length models.

Exterior Features
The 2002 Pontiac Montana Minivan is equipped with dual power outside mirrors, rear window washer/wiper, sliding doors on both sides of the vehicle, dark charcoal lower accent, fog lights, luggage rack, and either fifteen-inch cast aluminum sport wheels or sixteen-inch five-spoke cast aluminum wheels depending on the package.

Performance
Every 2002 Pontiac Montana Minivan is built with a tough 3.4-litre 2400 SFI six-cylinder engine that cranks out 185 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. The Montana features front-wheel drive, power rack-and-pinion steering, a fully independent MacPherson strut front suspension, and a stainless steel exhaust system. The standard transmission on all models is a responsive four-speed electronically-controlled automatic.

For excellent handling and performance on challenging terrain, including mud and snow conditions, the Montana Versatrak AWD directs power and control to all four wheels. This model also features an independent rear suspension and automatic level control.

Safety and Security
The 2002 Pontiac Montana comes with basic fare in the safety department that includes a vehicle theft-deterrent alarm system, three-point seatbelts at outboard seating positions, child safety locks, child seat tethers and anchors, driver air bag, passenger air bag, and side impact air bags for front passengers.
