In general, those looking for the tricky combination of luxury full-size sporty sedan that can also serve as a perfect business and family vehicle should look no further than the 2003 Pontiac Bonneville. With an awesome collection of standard features and optional add-ons, this powerful front-wheel drive is a solid entry to this very competitive class.

Available Models
The 2003 Pontiac Bonneville has and SE, SLE and SLEi, which has the top level of luxury and the most powerful engine. However, neither power nor standard equipment are scarce in the SE edition.

Interior Features
The 2003 Pontiac Bonneville line starts with the SE and it has a long list of features that includes air conditioning, cruise control, cloth upholstery on front buckets and a rear bench seat, and AM/FM/CD player and a full collection of power features; windows, mirrors, door locks and steering. Also representative of the relatively high level of luxury available at this base level is the 6-way power driver's seat.

Once the SLE is added, OnStar Service, leather-wrapped steering and many other items are included. Then, with the SLEi, leather upholstery, automatic climate control, Monsoon Stereo and a 12-way power driver seat are included. This car is already in the dictionary beside "fully-loaded" but many more options are available for those who want a lower trim level with a few specific desired add-ons.

Exterior Features
The Bonneville has an assortment of sporty exterior details that give it a sleek and racy look. These include the rear spoiler, fog lights and alloy wheels. Optional features include a power sunroof.

Performance
A 3.8-liter overhead cam V6 is the powerhouse under the Bonneville's hood. It is standard on all models except the SLEi, where the V6 is supercharged. The first one has 205 hp at 5200rpm and 230 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm. This engine gets 20/29 mpg (city/hwy). The SLEi has 240 hp at 5200 rpm while producing 280 lb-ft of torque at 3600 rpm and it gets 18/27 mpg.

The list of other handling and performance details, at the SLEi level, includes traction control, antiskid and a load-levelling performance suspension.

Safety and Security
Dual front and front side airbags, a theft deterrent system, 4-wheel antilock brakes and a tire-pressure monitor top off the selection of safety and security enhancements.
