Exterior Features

Performance
The Si's performance numbers promise one thing: pure unadulterated fun. Honda's renowned VTEC technology brings a lightweight 2.0-liter, DOHC engine to life to make 160 hp and 130 lb-ft of torque. The new i-VTEC system helps to provide maximum torque throughout the power band while achieving high fuel economy.

This engine turns up the heat while mated to a smooth shifting close ratio 5-speed manual transmission that maximizes the driving experience.

To meet the demands of the enthusiast driver, the suspension and braking systems were developed to provide the highest levels of performance. Large diameter front disc brakes and standard rear disc brakes support sure-footed stops. The suspension features sport derived front and rear stabilizer bars, dampers and springs. Honda also added wider wheels and lower profile tires.

Safety and Security
With superior handling and braking taken care of in the performance department, Honda added a keyless entry system, immobiliser theft deterrent system, driver's and front passenger's airbags (SRS), with available dual side airbags, headlights-on reminder and 3-point seat belts, front and rear.

Honda has done an exceptionable job of meshing performance and safety with the new for 2003 Civic Si.
