Visit Chevrolet for more information on the Chevy Uplander.

The Uplander is a new crossover vehicle that combines the abilities of a rugged SUV with those of a van and a sedan. With a lineage like this, it is easy to see why the makers at Chevrolet are so excited about the 2005 Chevy Uplander.

Offered in a surprising amount of configurations for its debut year, the Uplander's versatility is on further display in showrooms around the country. For busy families, it is a must see.

While front-wheel drive is standard, the Versatrak all-wheel-drive system is available on uplevel LT models, giving the crossover sport van even more capability. GM's exclusive Versatrak all-wheel-drive system is lightweight, quiet and efficient.

If one or both front wheels lose grip, the Versatrak system goes into action automatically, with no buttons to push or levers to throw. The system makes maximum use of the traction available by not only transferring torque from front to rear, but also from side to side between the rear wheels.

Available Models
The 2005 Chevy Uplander is available with front-while drive or all-wheel drive in base, LS and LT trims.

Interior Features
The 2005 Chevy Uplander is able to seat seven and accommodate a number of cargo items. Both the second and third-row seats fold flat, allowing owners to move big, bulky items with ease.

There are plenty of standard comfort features with the Uplander. They include air conditioning, power windows and door locks, a tilt-adjustable steering column and an AM/FM stereo with CD and MP3 player.

Exterior Features
17-inch wheels and tires are standard. Gray molding covers the rocker panels and extends to the lower front and rear fascias.

Performance
The V6 engine under the new Chevy Uplander's hood is a 3.5-liter model. It can generate 200 horsepower at 5200 rpm and 220 lb-ft of torque at 4400 rpm. Coupled to this is GM's proven Hydra-Matic 4T65-E electronically controlled automatic overdrive transaxle.

In addition to Versatrak, the 2005 Chevy Uplander also is offered with StabiliTrak, GM's advanced Vehicle Stability Enhancement System. StabiliTrak assists the vehicle in maintaining the driver's intended path by applying a brake force at any corner of the vehicle independent of the driver's use of the brake pedal.

Safety and Security
All seven seating positions have three-point safety belts. The Uplander also has pretensioners in the front safety belt system that deploy at the same time as the frontal airbags to take up slack in the safety belt webbing.

Seat-mounted side-impact airbags are optional.
