Last year, the Mazda trucks underwent a major facelift and an overhaul in the performance department that really boosted its competitive edge on the market. This year, the impressive package features a tough addition to the family - an off-road model.

Available Models
The Mazda Truck is available in three models - the B2300 Truck, B3000 Truck, and the B4000 Truck. The trim levels include the Base, Dual Sport, and 4WD versions, and you may select even further from a Regular Cab, Two-door Extended Cab Plus, and Four-door Cab Plus 4.

Interior Features
The new features for the B-Series Truck includes a front seat fold-down armrest with a cupholder, and comforts and conveniences such as air conditioning, 60/40 cloth split bench and full carpeting on the B2300 base model.

The Off-Road B4000 sports bucket seats with full length center console, AM/FM stereo with CD player, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass an outside temperature display.

Exterior Features
The Mazda B-Series Dual Sport model features monochromatic front and rear bumpers, fender flares, and fifteen-inch alloy wheels, and higher ground clearance. All 4WD models are equipped with sixteen-inch wheels. The Off Road package highlights fifteen-inch teardrop alloy wheels and has side steps and tie-down rails on the tops of the bed sides. The front bumper caps and door handles are color-keyed on monochromatic vehicles.

Performance
The Mazda Truck is built with an independent, double-wishbone front suspension with stabilizer bar and a live-axle rear suspension with leaf springs. The B2300 features a 2.3-litre, four-cylinder engine that produces 135 horsepower, while the B3000 cruises to the tune of a 3.0-litre, V6 engine with 147 horsepower and 179 lbs-ft of torque.

All 4WD models headline a user-friendly four-wheel drive system for added power and control on challenging terrain.

Safety and Security
All Mazda B-Series trucks have standard safety equipment that includes four-wheel ABS brakes, sliding rear window, theft deterrent system, and spare tire lock. Passengers are cushioned from the effects of an impact with a driver depowered air bag, and passenger depowered air bag. The passenger aid bag features a cut-off switch to enable children to travel safely up front. As well, these trucks all come with a three-year roadside assistance plan.
